Slowly… surely….

hi. i know, it’s been a long time. have you missed me?

been pretty busy working (from home, doing graphics for curriclulum books) and playing (sadie is almost 17 months old!) you can see her here. isn’t she super?

getting ready to begin sewing for the christmas craft sale at the legislature building. i think it’s the first week in december… last year i was scrambling to get things together and i don’t want to do that again. i am also hoping to open up the old etsy shop again soon. now don’t you all rush over there, i know you are excited (all 1 or 2 of you). this probably won’t happen until late september. timmy is studying for his PhD candidacy exam so spare time for sewing is just that. spare. he’s being examined at the end of august so once that’s done i hope to get to know my sewing machine again. i have some new ideas and a lot of vintage fabric….

this is just a drop in the bucket. etsy is so easy to shop. the vendors are professional, the prices are right and, you don’t have to go to the mall!

Giddy up!

So a package just arrived in the mail. It contains some beautiful new fabrics that will soon make their way into the shop. These include more cozy flannels and some awesome cotton prints including a retro cowboy Michael Miller print.

I’m also going to expand my inventory at new new kitty to include a few things for mum and some items made with vintage fabrics. I’m hoping to do a big update soon for your holiday shopping pleasure… wish me luck.

Are ya coming over?

So I’m at Etsy.com now. It is somewhat time consuming to upload new items, especially when
you have little experience with the website AND a sweet baby girl who wants to play peek-a-boo.
Bear with me folks, it will be AWESOME when I get into the groove. I will continue to maintain
this page here at WordPress with wordy updates and announcements.

A few notes:

1. You can make purchases on Etsy using your credit card or paypal account.
2. It is preferable that you make your purchase through Etsy because that way, I will have
   sold statistics. If I deal outside of the Etsy shop, I will just have to delete items as they
   sell and effectively I will have “no sales”.
3. Of course, if you really prefer to simply write me a cheque or pay cash
   (local customers only), you can still click purchase on the item you would like,
   and then we can deal with money matters later, in person.
4. email me if you are unclear on how to buy new new kitty through Etsy.
5. 15% off orders over $100 ends on October 15th!
6. A reminder that everyone who has or will make a purchase before October 15th will be
   entered in a draw for a screen printed onesie and a few surprise bits and pieces.

Paypal is awesome because almost every website on the interweb uses it. It’s just like using your bankcard, and super safe because you are not giving out your credit card info to all and sundry. Paypal has it and keeps it to themselves.

Of course, if you prefer, locals (Edmonton & area) can still see me in person and pay by cash or cheque while enjoying a delicious coffee in my living room.
